12...
Well poor Mac didn't ask for an earthquake for his birthday, but he got one...yikes...it's been over and hour and I'm still panicked...I tried to pick up everything I could around the house and am eagerly awaiting Sean's arrival home in a few minutes since I'm too freaked to get in the shower before taking cake and ice-cream to Mac's class at school...I am way too nervous a person for this kind of stuff.
So before the earth seemed to be coming to an end I was about to sit down to share a little of Mac's birthday celebration today. He often comments when I make cards, and tags and books for other people that he wants me to make them for him so I put together a book with 12 reasons that I love him...
The (hopefully) big excitement will be that as of today he officially has his own phone line...family and friends have been calling his new answering machine to leave birthday messages all morning and then tonight we're taking him and a friend to dinner and then the circus...oh there's the garage door opening meaning Sean's home thank God...I can hopefully start to relax a little now...
Happy birthday to Mac! A year from now he will officially be a teenager. I hope the sweet kid from the scrapbook grows into a sweet teen for you too. :-D

Oh, what a great book to give him. So sweet! It made me tear up to see what a sweet boy you have. :) May have to use your idea b/c I have a little guy that loves my creating just as much. TFS

Oh Nora, you sound exactly like me after an earthquake. I live in Kansas now(by way of Florida). One of the reasons I left California was because of the earthquakes. And I grew up there!!
I hope you are feeling better today. What city do you live in? I used to live in whittier.

What a lovely book for Mac!! I always dreamed of having my own phone line as a kid--what fun! Oh, and good to hear you all are safe and sound, even if you were a little freaked out.

Earthquakes terrify me! I miss California dearly but not the earthquakes!
I love the book you made!

Nora...I thought of you today when they broke in to report the earthquake. I have family all over Southern California (Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Temecula, Orange, Carlsbad). So I was watching like a hawk and dialing #s to no avail. I am SO glad that everyone is physically ok...though I'm sure on edge.
I'm sure Mac won't ever forget this birthday!

Wish Mac a very happy 12th birthday, hope he enjoys his dinner and his trip to the circus. As usual I love your stuff and I'm happy to hear that you made it through the earthquake alright.
