A good friend of mine is having her first baby in a few weeks and I wanted to make sure she had something functional...and cute.
My mom taught me to be a big believer in using cloth diapers as burp rags. Oh do they remind me of feeding a little tiny McIntosh way too many years ago...
Since they are very utilitarian I had to try to make them cute...so some pink and brown fabrics, some Wonder Under, and some stitching. And some enormous help from Sean since he is far better at cutting and sewing straight.
I was able to use my inevitably wonky cutting and sewing skills to stitch together a little garland-ish thing to wrap around the gift with some of the leftover fabric.
Pretty sure I have yet another favorite way to wrap gifts now.
Even though I usually attempt the simplest sewing possible I am always too proud of myself when it's done. Makes me wish I could really sew.
